New Calendar Feature
Web Work Schedules had a major upgrade last night. The big new change is the new calendar feature. This allows managers to create any calendar entry and allow all employees to view them. By default the calendar entries are viewable from the schedule so this provides a single place to see everything from work schedules, time off request and company events.
You can access the calendar directly off the home page by clicking on the View Calendar link. Employees can also access it through the Schedule section as well. The employee's calendar will show all of his/her shifts, time off request and any public company events.
The manager accesses the calendar from the home page or under the Manager section. Calendar events can be marked for Managers Only so that only managers can see them. Calendar events will be shown when you are creating your online employee work schedule. This will make it easier to remember if you need extra staff on a particular day, or if you will be closing early so everyone can attend a company function.
The calendar feature was the most requested feature by all the users of Web Work Schedules. All of our development on Web Work Schedules is driven by user feedback. As one of our valuable customers, you have a lot of control over how to improve Web Work Schedules. We are starting a new round of development so now is a great time to provide us feedback on what features you want to be added.
